- Supporting your child as they transition to secondary school
- Autism and ADHD support groups

Is my child too ill for school?
It can be tricky deciding whether or not to keep your child off school, nursery or playgroup when they're unwell.
There are government guidelines for schools and nurseries about managing specific infectious diseases at GOV.UK. These say when children should be kept off school and when they shouldn't.
If you do keep your child at home, it's important to phone the school or nursery on the first day. Let them know that your child won't be in and give them the reason.
If your child is well enough to go to school but has an infection that could be passed on, such as a cold sore or head lice, let their teacher know.
The link below gives further advice.

Mental Health Text Support Service - Text NOTTS to 85258
Nottinghamshire Healthcare, alongside partners across the Integrated Care System, have teamed up with the mental health charity Mental Health Innovations to launch free and confidential mental health support 24/7, through the charity’s text messaging support service Shout.
Anyone living in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire can text the word “Notts” to 85258 to be connected to a trained Shout Volunteer. The service is open around the clock and volunteers, supervised by a bank of clinicians, can help with issues such as anxiety, stress, loneliness, depression, and suicidal thoughts.
The conversation, which takes place entirely by text message, aims to help the texter reach a calmer place with a plan to move forward. It will also signpost them to further support available locally.
Shout is a free, confidential, anonymous service, designed to provide people with ‘in the moment’ support. Texting Shout does not appear on phone bills and all messages are confidential unless there is concern about someone’s safety.

Parentline - new health texting service for parents and carers
Nottinghamshire Healthcare's Healthy Family Teams have launched a new text messaging service for parents and carers to access confidential health advice.
The Parentline text messaging service is an easy way for parents and carers to confidentially ask for help about a range of issues, such as feeding and nutrition, emotional health and wellbeing, child development, behaviour difficulties and family health. Access to other local services is also available for example School Health Team, breastfeeding support or health visitor led sessions.
Parents and carers of children aged 0-19 in Nottinghamshire can contact the text messaging service for advice on Parentline 07520 619919.
This service does not replace face-to-face contact with Healthy Family Teams but aims to offer an alternative, accessible method of contact and a flexible way to provide support.
Parentline is available from Monday to Friday 9.00am - 4.30pm excluding bank holidays. Messages sent to the dedicated number are delivered to a secure website, and responded to by the Healthy Family Team. Texts are usually replied to within one working day. Automatic replies will be sent to any messages received out of hours explaining where to get help if your question is urgent, and when you can expect a response.
The Trust's Healthy Family Teams comprise of multiple professionals trained in providing services to children aged 0-19 years and their families/carers across Nottinghamshire. Their work includes giving advice on emotional health and wellbeing, infant feeding and healthy food choices, development, behaviour, self-esteem, relationships and many more topics. They can provide one-to-one confidential appointments.
