Pupil Voice Newsletters
Please find below our Pupil Voice Newsletter.
We feel it is important that our children have an input into what happens in our school. They have a say in what playground equipment they would like, what charities we should support and what fund raising activities they would like to do. They can suggest after school clubs along with sports activities they would like to try during Sports Week.
One of the ways we enable the pupil voice to be heard is through our Learning Forums – meetings run and minuted by the children where they discuss matters such as playtime, what food they would like to see on the menu and where and how they feel safe at school.
We also have our Pupil Parliament, Digital Leaders, Eco Group and Worship Whizzers.
These children have prepared a newsletter for parents and they also attend committee meetings with school governors to discuss what they are doing in school.
Pupil Parliament members are elected by their class. The children usually prepare a speech or ‘manifesto’ and deliver this to the class. This year our MPs are to be decided.
Eco Group members - to be decided.
Digital Leaders help the children to think about how to stay safe online and give sensible advice and information – our Digital Leaders this year are: to be decided
Finally, our Worship Whizzers help lead worship within school. Each term they lead one act of worship and this year they are also organising and leading our Harvest Service in the church. They have attended specific training in order to be able to do this. Our Worship Whizzers are: to be decided.
