Mornings

The gate to the school will be opened at 8.30am and all children should be ready to enter at that time to go straight to their classroom where learning activities will be ready for them.

Children arriving after this time must report to the office to be admitted into the school.  They should be accompanied by a parent or adult and a reason should be given for lateness as they sign in.

Children are encouraged to enter the school grounds independently although parents can enter with their children if they have a brief message for their child's class teacher - for any discussion that would take more than a minute an appointment will need to be made.

Collecting at End of Day

The gate to the school will be opened at 3.00pm.

Children in Years 5 & 6 will leave through the gate and go to their parents or walk home alone if we have been informed of this. The class teacher should be at the door with them as they leave in case of any issues.

Children in Years 3 & 4 are released to their parents by staff.  Only when the staff member has seen the parent or carer will the child be allowed to leave through the gate.  The class teacher should be at the door with them as they leave in case of any issues.

Children in FS and Year 1 and 2 are released to their parents by staff.  Only when the staff member has seen the parent or carer will the child be allowed to leave through the gate. The class teacher should be at the door with them as they leave in case of any issues.

Children will only be allowed to leave with the people named on the collection register – they will not be released to anybody other than the people named on the collection register.  Please inform school before 2.30pm if there are any changes to the collection of your children.

Parents collecting children from afterschool clubs will wait at the gate – the gate will be locked and staff members leading the club will be responsible for unlocking it and ensuring that children are collected by their parents.  In the winter months when the nights are dark the children must be collected by an adult.
