Music

Music is a very special way of communicating that enthuses and stimulates our children in their learning and increases their self-confidence, creativity and sense of achievement. Here at Elston All Saint’s Anglican/ Methodist Primary School, music reflects the culture and society we live in and so the teaching and learning of music enables children to develop a better understanding of the world.

It is a creative and fun activity which engages and inspires pupils to develop a love of music and plays an important part in helping children feel part of a community. We provide opportunities for all children to create, play, perform and enjoy music, to develop the skills to appreciate a wide variety of musical genres and to begin to form opinions and critique the quality of music. ‘Music Express’ is a resource that we use within school to enable us to make our music teaching and learning cross curricular and relevant to the lives of our children.
